With Brexit looming on the horizon (or is it) we thought we’d share a bit of insight into the market and feelings in general re the UK and what may / may not happen to house prices post Brexit. In fact for Brexit, the most crucial moment for homeowners will not be the scheduled exit from the EU on March 29 2019, but the deals / no deals currently being thrashed out.
Solar panels have been around for a long time now, but as with any technology, it is constantly improving and getting cheaper. While the use of renewable energy is on the rise, the majority of power is still from unsustainable sources, so if people want renewable energy then they have to turn to solar panels in order to power their properties.
You may not be aware that the EU halogen light bulb ban is now in effect in the UK; as of 1 September 2018. This is the final phase of the ban which has been under discussion since 2009 and led to the banning of halogen GU10 spotlights back in 2016. All the halogen bulbs that many people still use in their homes, with a limited number of specialist exceptions such as oven bulbs, are now illegal to import and produce across the EU.
