We’ve always been big fans of our home city. We love the fact that it offers all the advantages of city living, with loads of green space and easy access to the coast and countryside.
As we know from the lettings side of our business it has also long been a popular choice for buy to let investors too, many of whom are attracted by the large student population and the great transport links to the North and London.
Despite the recent changes to stamp duty laws which saw the introduction of an additional 3 per cent on stamp duty for buy to let investors and second home buyers we believe that Bristol will remain an attractive option for investors. We were pleased to see that recent research by law firm Morton Fraser backed up our hunch – with Bristol taking second place in a list of cities ranked by attractiveness as investment options.
